Awarded 25,000$ by the Conrad Prebys Foundation to continue our disparities research

It's undeniably hard convincing funders to support our work on disparities in breast cancer outcome. This is partly because we're at the bleeding edge of the field, trying to understand how social determinants of health impact cancer biology, and partly because cancer disparities is not yet a mainstream research focus. So a big shout-out to the Conrad Prebys Foundation for recognizing the potential of our work.
